I live in Winchester but am relatively new to Hampshire having spent most of my life living and working in Dorset. I am a keen cyclist and love to get out into the rural areas around Winchester, Alresford and beyond. I find that cycling not only gives me vital headspace after a busy week at work, but also enables me to get into areas that I simply would not visit if I was just driving to work and back. The social side is equally as important and I make sure there is always a decent coffee stop somewhere on route.

The outdoors is really important to me as I find it an ideal place to re-charge the batteries, connect with the natural world and to just be in the present. A walk in the hills and mountains of North Wales, the Lake District or the Downs of Hampshire are an ideal tonic to life and all its pressures.

New experiences are important to me and when I travel I like to go to places I’ve not visited before and seek out new and exciting things to see, do and eat. I enjoy cooking and eating out in equal measure and doing these with family and friends is key to the enjoyment and satisfaction of these great pleasures.

Being me makes me different. As much as I have things in common with lots of people, my beliefs and values as well as my life experiences make me unique and different.

Professionally I have a varied background of work experience including time as a front line Police Officer as well as working in Corporate environments. Working across such a variety of sectors, with people from a wide range of social, geographic and economic backgrounds gave me vital experiences in making connections, building and maintaining relationships and enhancing my communications skills.
